Dr. Ryan Williams was born and raised in Southwestern Virginia until he moved to central Michigan with his family as a teenager. Dr. Williams graduated from Andrews University in southwest Michigan with his bachelors degree in biology. After college, he went to Loma Linda University in southern California where he enrolled in a dual-degree program, graduating with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree as well as his Masters of Arts in Bioethics.
After school, Dr. Williams moved to central Maryland and practiced there for about 6 years. He and his family enjoyed their time in Maryland, but wished to be closer to their family here in Michigan. Dr. Williams has enjoyed getting to work in Blanchard and continue on the 30-year legacy of high-quality compassionate dental care that was established here at Blanchard Family Dental.
Dr. Williams says, “I chose dentistry because it combines several areas that I enjoy. I like doing intricate work with my hands. I enjoy spending time with patients to discover their priorities for their health, educating them on the treatment options that are available to reach their goals, and then following through with their treatment plan. My goal is to treat every patient with gentleness and respect – just as I would want to be treated.”
In his free time, Dr. Williams enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 daughters. They enjoy many outdoor activities like hiking, camping, and boating. He also enjoys woodworking, as well as flying radio-controlled and full-sized aircraft.
Dr. Williams is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry.
